George M. Bradshaw retired as a principal of the firm effective January 1, 2015, but he continues his affiliation with Huck Bouma in an 'of counsel' capacity. His practice involves the representation of privately held and family-owned businesses in numerous industry segments, real estate investors and developers, individuals and banks. George’s past experience includes 18 years of general practice in his own firm in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, focusing on business, banking, real estate, estate planning and litigation matters. Prior to that George practiced for five years with Lupel & Amari, in Chicago, Illinois, concentrating in litigation.
George’s areas of expertise include general corporate, banking, commercial and real estate law – serving as the “outside general counsel” for many of Huck Bouma’s corporate clients, wherein he finds his earlier litigation practice to be extremely useful. George spends most of his time engaged in business succession and estate planning for closely held business owners; commercial real estate transactions; and bank loan documentation, foreclosures & workouts, and OREO transactions. George merged his practice into Huck Bouma in 1994.
George lives in Winfield and enjoys spending his free time with his wife and family, traveling and golfing. George serves on the Boards of Directors for Life’s Plan, Inc., an affiliate of the Ray Graham Association for people with disabilities, and the Marianjoy, Inc. Foundation.
