Huck Bouma PC was pleased to sponsor a team walking in the Making Strides of DuPage event this year. This year, The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event was held on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, IL.
Our fundraising efforts placed us among the top 7 out of over 169 teams!
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks are the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, uniting nearly 300 communities with a shared determination to finish the fight.
By signing up, fundraising, and participating in one of our noncompetitive, three- to five-mile walks, you help us be there for everyone in every community touched by breast cancer. You help those who are currently dealing with a breast cancer diagnosis, those who may face a diagnosis in the future, and those who may avoid a diagnosis altogether thanks to education and prevention.
Every Making Strides event is an incredible and inspiring opportunity to unite as a community to honor and celebrate breast cancer survivors, raise awareness about the disease, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society save lives from breast cancer by funding groundbreaking breast cancer research, providing free comprehensive information and support, and helping people take steps to reduce their risk of the disease or find it early when it’s most treatable.
