Associate Attorney
Estate Planning Group

The leading western suburban Chicago law firm has an immediate need for an associate with five or more years of experience to join its Estate Planning Group.

The ideal candidate must have experience working on sophisticated estate planning and estate administration matters as well as with providing general business advice.

The ideal candidate must possess excellent drafting skills, a strong financial or accounting background, a deadline-oriented attitude, and a desire to have significant client and referral source interaction.

Corporate Practice Group

Paralegal
Trust/Estate Administration

We are currently searching for highly motivated, team-orientated candidate interested in joining the largest DuPage County law firm as a Paralegal. This position will be responsible for trust and estate administration support and requires past experience in these areas.  Tax background would be useful to this role. The successful candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, possess excellent writing and numeric skills, have the ability to multitask, maintain strict confidentiality, and display a passion for delivering outstanding results and service on a consistent basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
 To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential duties satisfactorily.
Duties must be carried out promptly and accurately. Other duties may be assigned.

Provide trust and estate administration services, including, but not limited to:
Review client estate planning documents.
Prepare trust and will summaries.
Prepare estate tax, distribution, and liquidity analyses.
Facilitate and review estate tax returns, gift tax returns, and estate and trust fiduciary income tax returns.
Research estate tax, gift tax, generation-skipping transfer tax, and fiduciary income tax matters.
Research trust and estate administration matters.
Coordinate and assist with client estate tax planning and client projects.
Prepare client memos and correspondence.

TRAINING & CERTIFICATION: 
Certificate in Paralegal Studies

ACQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Three or more years of practical and relevant trust and estate administration experience.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Strong keyboard proficiency, and accurate data entry skills.
Demonstrated professional interpersonal skills and knowledge of business etiquette.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
