Estate and Trust Administration Practice Area
We are currently searching for highly motivated, team-orientated candidate interested in joining the largest DuPage County law firm
as a Trust and Estate Paralegal. Tax background will be useful to this role. The successful candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, possess excellent writing and numeric skills, maintain strict confidentiality, and display a passion for delivering outstanding results and service on a consistent basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the followingessential promptly and accurately. Other duties may be assigned.
Specific tasks include:
Reviewing client estate planning documents for post-death administration of estates and trusts.
Preparing court pleadings to open and close probate estates.
Preparing trust and will summaries, inventories, accountings and spreadsheets.
Assisting executor/trustee with the collection, valuation and distribution of assets.
Preparing federal and state estate tax returns, gift tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns.
Preparing client memos and correspondence.
Funding marital and family trusts.
ACQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Three or more years of practical and relevant estate administration experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Professional interpersonal skills and knowledge of business etiquette.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

The leading western suburban Chicago law firm has an immediate need at its Wheaton, Illinois location for an Estate Planning Senior Associate with three to five years of experience to join its Estate Planning Group.
The ideal candidate must have experience working on sophisticated estate planning and estate administration matters, tax planning, as well as with providing general business advice.
The right person must possess excellent drafting skills, have a strong financial or accounting background, have a deadline-oriented attitude, and a desire to have significant client and referral source interaction.
