Huck Bouma was pleased to be a sponsor of the Reindeer Run 2021, a 5K presented in partnership by the Wheaton Lions Club and the Wheaton Park District. This race was held Saturday, December 4, 2021; it began and ended in downtown Wheaton (at DuPage County Historical Museum). The route went north through residential neighborhoods. On June 15, 2021, Huck Bouma senior director Brian K. LaFratta participated in the Naperville Chamber of Commerce panel discussion series entitled “Vaccines in the Workplace.” The webinar discussion provided insights to employers regarding the legalities of requiring COVID-19 vaccines for their employees, guidance on incentive programs and other considerations regarding vaccinations. Brian was joined by Michael Carney, senior vice president of emerging issues at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation; Nate Hoke, Human Resources Specialist at Insperity; and Laura Garafolo, Employment Attorney, Laura Garofalo Law, LLC. Patrick Hurley recently represented a client in a nine-day divorce trial in DuPage County Circuit Court. The case involved a variety of complex issues, including contested child custody, dissipation of marital assets, the authenticity of an $80,000 promissory note, and the children’s educational model.
